This type of kilt,which is sometimes called a dress, full or 8 yard kilt, is the style most people are familiar with. For an average sized person it will contain about 8 yards of tartan. However, a larger individual might require as much as 10 yards.
The standard Angus Harvey modern kilt is completely hand sewn, has a double fringe, sporran loops, 2 buckles and straps, and a quality lining.
As stated in the pricing information section the ultimate price is based primarily on the tartan selected and the size of the individual.
These kilts are available in various fabric weights from 10-21 oz., with 13 oz. being the most common, and we can get almost any tartan you require. Let me again state that I make my own kilts and am usually buried in kilt work, especially during fair season.

The high end of our price range reflects the most expensive tartan for a person with a 60" hip measurement. Our price is "to your door". It includes all foreign and domestic shipping and handling, packaging, insurance, taxes, and customs related expenses.

These machine sewn kilts are basically a scaled down version of a full kilt.
They contain 5-6 yards of tartan for an average sized person. They will have a single fringe, 1 straps and buckles, sporran loops, and inside velcro holder.
Obviously because of less tartan, they will contain fewer pleats than a full kilt. Although lined, the lining is not as elaborate as in the full kilt, and the amount of interior sewing support is less.
They are also available in any tartan and weight. Please allow approximately 6-8 weeks delivery on these kilts.
